Love watching live musicals at Kingdom of Dreams? We’ve got some good news for us! The live entertainment destination (KOD) which has been entertaining us for years by offering a visually stunning and unforgettable experience has now launched a new musical. Titled Beyond Bollywood, it has been touring internationally in several countries such as London, Brussels, France, Germany, Algeria and several other nations of Europe.
Written, directed, choreographed by Rajeev Goswami, the musical includes nine original music compositions of Salim-Sulaiman.
“I’m extremely proud of the Beyond Bollywood. It is an interesting blend of different folk music and dance performances for which India is popular. Nobody has attempted anything like Beyond Bollywood," said Sulaiman while speaking to News18.com.
The story of the musical is a story of a dancer Shailey Shergill - who has a strong desire to realise her mother’s dream and sets out in search of her roots.
Did he ever have any clash of ideas with Rajeev? “Creative fights are good. We would discuss ideas with Rajeev and Irrfan with whom we share a great bond,” he said.
While the expectations from the new musical is high, Sulaiman tells us the message it sends out carries huge significance. “There is no denying the fact that in Delhi people are interested in culture. But with this musical, we want them to go back with additional knowledge,” he said.
