VARANASI: Five shehnais of the late maestro Ustad
Bismillah Khan made of silver have been stolen from his son's house here. The matter was reported to police on Sunday night. No breakthrough was made in the case till late Monday evening.
Kazim Hussain told TOI he found his father's shehnais missing when he returned home on Sunday evening after five days. He immediately lodged a complaint and cops visited his house along with a dog squad.

Abrar Ahmed said an FIR against unidentified persons was lodged. "We are making all efforts to nab the thieves," he added. Kazim said in his complaint that the shehnais were gifted to his father by distinguished persons, including former Prime Minister Narasimha Rao, RJD chief

Congress MP Kapil Sibal. The maestro used to play one of these on the fifth and seventh day of Muharram, Kazim said.
