The Dallas Cowboys came out of Week 13 with an 11-1 record. Their lone loss, 20-19 to the division rival New York Giants in Week 1, came at home at AT&T Stadium. Away from home, the Cowboys are a perfect 6-0.

That record plays a role in an absolutely bonkers stat relating to one of their players: star rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott. Elliott played his college football at Ohio State. He spent the 2013, 2014 and 2015 seasons as a Buckeye.

In 2013, the Buckeyes went 12-2. Their two losses came in neutral-site games, while they went 5-0 in true road games. In 2014, Ohio State went 14-1 and won the national championship. The Buckeyes' lone loss was at home against Virginia Tech, while they went 4-0 in true road games. In 2015, OSU went 12-1 and won the Fiesta Bowl. The Buckeyes' lone loss was at home against Michigan State while they went 5-0 in true road games.

That means that going back through his college career, Elliott is 20-0 in games played away from home. But wait! It gets even better. Elliott did not lose a single road game in high school, either. His high school team, the John Burroughs School (Ladue, Mo.) Bombers, lost just five games during his time there: all at home or neutral sites.

John Burroughs School

  • 2010: 4-0 on road, 14-1 overall
  • 2011: 6-0 on road, 13-2 overall
  • 2012: 6-0 on road, 13-1 overall

Ohio State Buckeyes

  • 2013: 5-0 on road, 12-2 overall
  • 2014: 4-0 on road, 14-1 overall
  • 2015: 5-0 on road, 12-1 overall

Dallas Cowboys

  • 2016: 6-0 on road, 11-1 overall

The man has not lost a road game in seven years.

Then there's this: The Cowboys have 11 wins and one loss this season. While he was at Ohio State, Elliott's teams lost a combined four games. His high school team lost five games. Add it all up, and teams featuring Ezekiel Elliott have lost 10 games. And the Cowboys have won 11 games this season alone. He has more wins this season in the NFL (and more wins in each of his three years at Ohio State, and each of his three years on the varsity team at Burroughs) than he has total losses since 2010 combined.

That's pretty damn incredible.
