SCR announces spl trains between Nanded & Tirupati

The Nanded division of South Central Railway (SCR) has announced special trains between Nanded and Tirupati in order to clear extra rush of passengers in the coming days.

AURANGABAD: The Nanded division of South Central Railway (SCR) has announced special trains between Nanded and Tirupati in order to clear extra rush of passengers in the coming days.
“The special trains — scheduled to make a total of 18 trips — will be pressed into service till January end,” an official release said.
Accordingly, the train (number 07606) will have nine trips every Tuesday up to January 31.
It is scheduled to run on December 6, December 13, December 20, December 27, January 3, January 10, January 17, January 24 and January 31.
In its return journey, the train (number 07608) will have nine trips between December 7 and February 1 next year. “The special train will leave Nanded at 6.45 pm and is scheduled to reach Tirupati next day at 2 pm. In its return journey, the train will depart from the pilgrim town at 3.45 pm and would reach Nanded next day at 11.30 am,” said Rajesh Shinde, public relations officer with SCR, Nanded division.
Nijamabad, Secunderabad and Vijaywada are amongst the major stations that would be covered by the special train during its journey. Each special train will have 12 coaches.
“The Nanded division registers heavy rush of passengers visiting Tirupati during Christmas, New Year and Pongal vacations. The special trains will cater to this heavy rush,” the authorities said.
Nilesh Kulkarni, a devotee, welcomed announcement of special trains to the temple town. “I prefer to start my New Year at Tirupati. The special trains announced will help me to chart my plans for this year,” he said. The tickets can be booked online on www.irctc.co.in.
