Just two days after Barbie released a Moschino Jeremy Scott doll, and one month after Ashley Graham received her own body-positivity doll, Cindy Crawford got her second Barbie modeled after her.
Dressed in a matching black-and-white checkered three-piece ensemble, Crawford’s doll bears an uncanny resemblance to the 50-year-old supermodel—down to her signature beauty mark.
Unlike Scott’s $200 Moschino doll though, Crawford’s will not be commercially produced for sale. Instead, like Graham’s, the doll is a limited-edition creation.
Crawford got her first Barbie in March 2015—a doll wearing a replica of the Roberto Cavalli pink feathered gown she owns. “I was obsessed with my #BarbieDolls growing up!” she told her followers on Instagram.
The fashion industry has held a longstanding partnership with Barbie manufacturer, Mattel, and Crawford is among the celebrities who have had Barbies modeled after them—many of whom, like her, have two.
Katy Perry has both a "casual" doll and one wearing an extravagant cupcake skirt, both of which are limited edition; Jennifer Lopez has a red carpet doll and a world tour one, both of which are still in production; the exclusive Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj dolls are dressed in their red-carpet best; Heidi Klum's doll came out in 2009, Misty Copeland's came out this past May—and Justin Bieber even has his own singing doll, selling for up to $70 on eBay.
