LAHORE: The refugees in Karachi are well-wishers of the country but the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s policies have left them in the lurch, said Pak Sarzameen Party Chairperson Mustafa Kamal on Monday while addressing the lawyers of the Lahore High Court Bar Association.

The policies of MQM, he alleged, have led Karachi to being among the 10 most unsuitable cities for living in the world. The city was once like a bouquet of flowers where people from across the country would come to earn a living, he said.

However, he added, people continue to be fooled by the founder of MQM.

While speaking about the administrative issues in the country, Kamal said 25 million children in Pakistan were out of school while hundreds of thousands suffer diseases due to malnutrition. He added Pakistan is independent in terms of food, but deaths due to shortage of provision mean there are administrative issues in the country.
