1.78 lakh NSS students of Gujarat join drive to create awareness

To create awareness in rural masses for the adoption of use digital payment methods after the demonetization by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government 1.78 lakh students associated with National Service Scheme(NSS) joined three month long drive. Today at an event organized by the Gujarat Education Department nearly 2000 students were trained by the leading bankers in using various modes of cashless financial transactions like mobile banking, internet banking, use of debit and credit card, E.wallet etc.,

GANDHINAGAR: To create awareness in rural masses for the adoption of use digital payment methods after the demonetisation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government 1.78 lakh students associated with National Service Scheme (NSS) joined three month long drive. Today at an event organised by the Gujarat Education Department nearly 2000 students were trained by the leading bankers in using various modes of cashless financial transactions like mobile banking, internet banking, use of debit and credit card, E.wallet etc.,
The State Education department has started training of college students associated NSS and trained them to train villagers in using cashless method of financial transactions.
A state level training workshop was held by the education department for the NSS students and trained about the various modes of cashless financial transactions.
Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, State Education Minister told that, "we called bank officials and NSS students and held a training workshop. NSS students regularly go in rural areas for various social welfare activities so we decided to take their service to train villagers in using cashless financial transactions. 1.78 lakh NSS students will adopt villages and organize camp for cashless financial transactions. Students will train villagers in using mobile banking, debit cards, E-wallet, and online financial transactions mode. This drive will educate people in using cashless transactions to curb black money."
