Man dies as fire engulfs tea stall near railway hospital

The charred body of an unidentified person was found on Monday from remains of a tea stall near Rajkot Railways Hospital Medical College on Jamnagar Road that got engulfed in fire late night on Sunday.

RAJKOT: The charred body of an unidentified person was found on Monday from remains of a tea stall near Rajkot Railways Hospital Medical College on Jamnagar Road that got engulfed in fire late night on Sunday.
According to sources, fire broke out late night on Sunday at an old make-shift canteen in the Railway Hospital compound.
The exact cause of fire was not immediately known. A team of forensic experts have collected samples and police have launched a probe.
Stall owner Bijal Ratadiya (58), a resident of Ghanteshwar, was in a shock.
Police found two shawls from nearby footpaths and it is assumed that both may be of the unidentified person who died in the fire.
Police has sent the body of the deceased for postmortem to ascertain the cause of death.
