Digital Signage Expo (DSE) recently announced that Jonathan Brawn, Principal and Co-owner of Brawn Consulting will present a session at DSE 2017 entitled, “Understanding the Parts of a Digital Signage Network.”

This general conference session is part the Digital Signage Fundamentals Seminar Program at DSE 2017 designed specifically for End Users, AV Professionals, Systems Integrators or anyone considering creating a digital communications network.

To be presented Wednesday, March 29 at 9 a.m., this session is designed to help attendees understand the basics of digital signage system design, all of the components that go into a system, and how each element operates and interacts, as well as the vocabulary commonly used to describe each component.

DSE Advisory Board members considered the option of outsourcing versus operating and managing a digital network in-house and suggested:

“As with most business decisions, the decision fundamentally comes down to money. Identifying and understanding all of the moving parts and complexities of operating and maintaining a viable digital media network is imperative," said Adrian Weidmann, founder & principal, StoreStream Metrics.

“Culture and staff governance drive the operations sourcing decision. Organizations that prefer to operate core operational systems in-house and want to contain operations within their own walls as much as possible will be comfortable with internal operations," said Lyle Bunn, advisory, analyst & educator, The BUNN Company.
