Colors Tv show Kasam Tere Pyar Ki is one of the most popular shows of the small screen. The Balaji Telefilms show has taken the concept of reincarnation to entertain the audience this time. Rishi and Tanu love story is about a promise the latter made. She had given Rishi a promise to stand by him through his thick and thin times. But destiny had different plans for the lovers and one day Tanu dies while trying to save Rishi. Since then Rishi is surviving with a guilt and hatred that Tanu didn’t keep her promise. The happy and cheerful boy turned into an angry man who would just hate everything about life. He would just live for the sake of living and not care about anything and anyone.

His family tried convincing him to move on but Rishi just didn’t want to change anything about his life. Rishi didn’t want to move on and was waiting for Tanu to return. He believed that she would keep his promise but didn’t know how. Then he meets Tanuja, a completely disorganised girl and is also his new secretary. Instead of making his life easy, Tanuja simply adds to his woes and Rishi couldn’t tolerate even a slightest sight of her. But Tanuja’s presence brings strange vibes and reminds of Rishi of Tanu. Tanuja is as protective as Rishi was and always saves him from worst situations. During one such attempt, Tanuja injures her face whike trying to save Rishi. And the worst happens when the doctor during the surgery gives Tanuja Tanu’s face. At first the Bedi’s misunderstand Tanuja as Tanu but on realising the truth thinks that she did it on purpose. Rano fears that Rishi might get attracted to Tanuja now that she looks like his ex-wife. Hence, she convinces him to marry Malaika, Rishi’s close friend. But Rishi father finds out that Malaika is a cheat and somehow fools Tanuja to marry Rishi at the last moment. He secretly interchanges the brides to ensure no one especially Rano finds out the truth. Rishi is shocked to see that Tanuja is his wife now and so is Rano. She thinks that it’ was Tanuja’s plan as she was attracted to Rishi anyway. Rano teams up with Malaika to throw Tanuja out of the house. But Raj supports her and forces Rishi to be with her.
