    Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha pray for Jayalalithaa's speedy recovery

    MUMBAI: Veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha and Paresh Rawal have wished speedy recovery to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa after she suffered a cardiac arrest last evening.

    Taking to Twitter, the stars expressed their concern for the 68-year-old politician's health, who is currently undergoing treatment at the Apollo hospital in Chennai.

    "Reading news about Jayalalita ji and sending prayers for her speedy recovery," Bachchan tweeted.

    While, recalling his meeting with Jayalalithaa, Kapoor wrote, "Prayers for Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha ji's health. Remember her warmth along with MGR sahab when I met them at AVM Studio 1974 Chennai."

    Sinha called Jayalalitha a revolutionary leader and hoped that she will get well soon.

    "Very sad to hear the news of the cardiac arrest & critical health situation of the great revolutionary leader Ms Jayalalitha. My prayers go out to her and also her friends, fans, well wishers and supporters. May God grant them strength to face this test with dignity and calm," he wrote.

    Rawal also tweeted, "Prayer to god to grant a long and a healthy life to Amma Jayalalitha ji."
