The Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) has affirmed the officials of various departments to carry out various events at the school level, district level and state level for the skill development of teachers as well as students in the months of December and January. The departments of all the districts have to abide by the decision. On December 6, an initiative is going to be launched in order to link street children and child labour. The name of the initiative is ‘Pankh’. Soon, the Bal samagam will be organized. “Project Pankh will commence from a slum in Hatia where uneducated children will be enrolled in the nearest government school. The drive will be organised across the state to ensure 100% enrolment,” this has been stated by Mukesh Kumar, the director of Jharkhand Education Project Council (JPEC).

The Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das will interact with around 4000 children. The children will be sharing their experiences at a state level conference of child cabinet. The conference is scheduled to be conducted on December 19. On December 22, a Mathematics and Science fair will also be organized. “Every school will be given Rs 1,000 to organize each fair. This fair will help develop the interest of students in subjects which are usually considered quite tough for them,” said Mukesh Kumar.
