Delhi man dies as car hits tractor

GREATER NOIDA: A 56-year-old man was killed when his car rammed a tractor on the Yamuna expressway on Sunday morning.
The man has been identified as Mohan Lal, a resident of Sultanpuri in Delhi. The accident took place 20km away from Zero Point. The driver of the tractor is absconding.
“Lal was going from Delhi to Agra in his Maruti Swift Dzire around 11 am. A tractor-trolley laden with sacks of wheat was moving slowly in the same direction ahead of him.
He couldn’t spot the tractor and rammed it from behind,” V S Bisare, station officer, Rabupura said. The driver of the tractor fled from the spot after the accident.
The car was badly damaged and Lal was seriously injured. Passersby informed the police and Lal was rushed to Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida, where he was declared brought dead.
Doctors said that Lal had suffered multiple fractures and head injuries. “He had suffered head injuries and blood loss. The post-mortem report will reveal the exact cause of death,” said a doctor. The body has been sent for post-mortem and his family members have been informed.
