ITBP trooper from Godhra dies in accidental firing

Shyam Yadav, a trooper of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and a resident of Godhra, died in accidental firing in Shopian district of Kashmir.

VADODARA: Shyam Yadav, a trooper of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and a resident of Godhra, died in accidental firing in Shopian district of Kashmir.
Yadav, who joined ITBP in 2013, was earlier posted in Srinagar and then Shopian. His father Rajkumar who is an employee of Food Corporation of India (FCI) and a resident of Godhra was informed about the incident early on Sunday.
Rajkumar said that they originally hail from Rewari in Haryana and moved to Godhra after his transfer.

He added that before joining ITBP, Yadav used to sell tea at Godhra railway station.
Yadav’s commandant informed his family on Sunday that his body will be brought to Ahmedabad on Monday by a special plane.
