Illegal arms factory unearthed in remote forest of Bangladesh

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has claimed that it has found two clandestine factories for manufacturing firearms in Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar.

Huge amount of arms and ammunition's have been recovered in an overnight drive by RAB in Charandip Dolkhali para and Charandip Ekanobboi para of Chiringa union of the upazila on Sunday. RAB members also detained 5 including women in the drive.

RAB commander Major Mahmud Hasan Tareq also said, among the recovered arms eight are SBBL, one DBBL, two point 30 locally made rifles, one point 22 locally made riffle, eight single pipe guns, 45 rounds of shutter gun's bullet and four bullets of point 30 rifle.

The detainees are, Abdul Mannan and Ayub Khan son of Dhola Mia of Kutubdia Upazila, Nurul Alam son of Abdul Basud alias Basu of Chakaria upazila, Mohiuddin alias Mohin Mia son of Amir Hossain of Kutubdia Upazila's Kazirpara village, Jonuara wife of Nurul Islam of Charandip Chariakhali area and Nurulla son of late Idris Ahmed of Fasia khali union.
