Delhi: 18-year-old stabbed 20 times with ice pick

An 18-year-old died after being stabbed 20 times in southeast Delhi’s Sangam Vihar area Saturday night. The victim, Firoz, a Class XI student, who worked with his father at his automobile workshop, received a call on Saturday evening and left his house.

A passerby spotted Firoz’s body and a motorcycle near a school in the area and made a PCR call, after which police arrived and sent the body to the AIIMS trauma centre.

Firoz’s family approached the police station when he did not return till midnight. Police took them to the trauma centre, where they identified his body. “As per initial investigation, four men stopped Firoz and stabbed him 20 times with an ice pick and fled. We have detained two suspects,” said a police officer.
