A woman was found dead, slumped over on a bench in a Lower Manhattan subway station, cops said Sunday.
The woman, who appeared to be in her 50s and homeless, was fully clothed when police found her on a bench near the token booth at the Chambers Street station around 3:10 p.m. Saturday, police sources said.
There were no signs of trauma to the woman’s body, cops said, but the Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death.
Police had not yet released the woman’s name early Sunday.
