AGRA: A 70-year-old patient was allegedly refused admission by the Sarojini Naidu Medical College (SNMC) on Saturday evening, as per a video that did rounds on social media. The video showed Vijay Prakash Chaturvedi, a resident of Sultanpur district, carry his ailing mother, Ganga Devi, in a rickshaw as he left SNMC, to visit a private doctor.
However, SNMC officials denied the allegations and claimed that he was asked to wait, but left the hospital due to some confusion.

Chaturvedi said, “The staff made me run from one desk to another for over three hours. Eventually, I decided to leave and take mother to a private doctor.”
The patient was finally admitted at SNMC after the intervention of administrative officials.
Principal Dr Saroj Singh said, “No one refused to admit the patient. It seems that the patient’s son had some confusion. Still, I have asked for clarification from the doctor on duty.”
