The Department of Law and Justice and JK Academy of Art Culture and Languages on Saturday evening organized a Mushaira in honor of Chief Justice of India, Justice TS Thakur in which noted poets of the state enthralled the audience by presenting their poetry.The Mushaira was organized at Convention Centre Canal Road Jammu.The event was also attended by Chairman Legislative Council Haji Anayat  Ali, Minister for Rural Development department, Panchayati Raj , Law and Justice Abdul Haq Khan, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Syed Basharat Bukhari,  Minister of State for Education Priya Sethi, Secretary JKAACL Dr Aziz Hajini and senior jurists.The Mushaira was presided over by noted poet Aresh Sahbayi while the poets including Balraj Balaji, Ruksana Jabeen, Shafaq Sopore, Ehtisham Mohtasham, Rubeena Mir , Ahmad Shinaas, Nazir Azad, Zahid Mukhtar, Shaam Taking, Shujaat Poonchi, Amin Banhali and others presented their poems. The session was conducted by noted announcer Pradeep Khanna.The poets depicted the contemporary socio-political scenario through their poetry and also highlighted certain issues of the public through poetry and received huge applauses by the audience.
