Saina Nehwal, who recently crashed out in the quarterfinals of the Macau Open to draw curtains on India’s challenge, visited Festival Mall in Hong Kong with her father. Nehwal had just lost her quarterfinal match in 35 minutes against Yiman Zhang of China, a teenager placed 216 notches below her in the world rankings.
Former No. 1 shared multiple photos on her social media accounts, where the shuttler is seen spending some time with her father who travels with her on the tour.
Saina, who opted to head to Macau, having dropped to 10th in the world, was seen standing by a watch gallery. She is slowly trying to come back to her best after recovering from a major knee injury which affected her Olympic campaign.
Post the injury, Saina needed to go under the knife and the rehabilitation process kept her out for a lengthy period. She returned to court with a first round loss in China where PV Sindhu won and quarterfinal loss in Hong Kong.

With lack of playing time and recovery process underway, Nehwal has dropped in the rankings and currently stands at No. 10 in the World Rankings. She is also out of contention for the year-ending BWF Finals for which Sindhu has already qualified.
