Simon Cowell celebrated son Eric's second birthday with an exclusive party in London.

The intimate party was attended by Simon's closest friends, including Britain's Got Talent judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.

Former X Factor judge Louis Walsh and hypnotist Paul McKenna were also in attendance, as well as Eric's glamorous mum, Lauren Silverman at the exclusive London Arts Club.

At the party, somebody pranked Amanda by taking her phone and uploading a comment to Instagram which said: I feel I have become the nations sweetheart and let’s face it I am."

However, she got her own back on Twitter as she uploaded a photo to Simon's account saying: “Love my girls @AleshaOfficial @AmandaHolden so much that I just confirmed them both for next year. FYI follow them”

Last October, Simon admitted it was a huge adjustment to become a father after thinking that he would probably never be a parent.

He told Daybreak: "I’m great with puppies because a puppy will respond, but babies at a certain age don’t do anything, so when he was about five or six [months old] I was like: "I just don’t know what to do!"

"He wasn’t reacting to me and I thought maybe he hates me. And they said, "no, take your time". And then one day they are talking, listening, responding and also they sort of become a bit like you. Which I don’t know is a good thing or a bad thing! He’s a funny little thing.

"He loves music, and when I say loves it, loves it! Fortunately one of the first records I got on tape of him playing along to was a One Direction record, so he’s got good taste."
