MUMBAI: Passengers aboard 40-45 trains passing through Sindhudurg will be able to savour Malwani cuisine during their journey and pay by cashless mode soon.
IRCTC, the catering wing of the Indian Railways, has tied up with NABARD for this project. The food will be cooked by 30 women from various self help groups (SHGs). Women are being trained to cook large volumes and take digital orders at a kitchen near Sawantwadi.

The project was launched by railway minister Suresh Prabhu in Sindhudurg Saturday.
