Nagpur: A keyman was run over by a speeding
train in Kohli near Kalmeshwar on Saturday morning. The victim, Manohar Kisdan Wasnik (52), was on patrolling duty when the incident took place at 9.25am.

Railway PRO PD Patil said railway has paid an ex gratia amount to kin of the victim. The legal heir of the victim will be paid Rs 10 lakh in compensation.
However, Habib Khan of National Railway Mazdoor Union has termed the incident as a fall out of excessive workload on field staff.
“Over 1,000 posts of field staff are vacant. Safety staff working in officials bungalows should posted in the field,” Khan said.
