CJM assures Old Age Home inmates of speedy justice

AMRITSAR: Girish Bansal, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Legal Services Authority, visited the Guru Ram Dass Old Age Home at the Upper Bari Doab Canal Bypass yesterday.

Girish Bansal, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Legal Services Authority, visited the Guru Ram Dass Old Age Home at the Upper Bari Doab Canal Bypass yesterday.

She was accompanied by her team of six, all related to various wings involved in providing essential help to the elderly. She visited various rooms and took first hand information from the inmates.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) assured speedy resolution of their grievances because of which the elderly had to suffer. However, she felt pleased with the provision of facilities essential for maintaining a decent living for the inmates of the Old Age Home.

Prof JS Jogi, a functionary of the Inmate Administration, said the Old Age Home was started by late Onkar Singh Sandhu. The House, at present, is being patronised by Khushvinder Singh Sandhu, son of Onkar Singh Sandhu. Rajinder Singh Bhullar and SP Singh Dhanjal also spoke on the occasion.
