MIRPURKHAS: On the directives of the Sindh High Court, Deputy Commissioner Sayed Mehdi Ali Shah on Friday directed to remove substandard CNG cylinders from all vehicles and warned of stern action in case of failure. He was chairing a meeting of transporters and CNG station owners at Darbar hall of his office. The DC said the substandard CNG cylinders were like a “moving bombs”, which could be harmful for the passengers. In order to provide safe journey facilities to the people, substandard CNG kits and cylinders should be removed from the vehicles, he said. He has also directed the owners of the CNG stations not to supply CNG to vehicles, those having substandard cylinders. Senior Superintendent of Police Khalid Mustafa Korai, Assistant Commissioners Hussain Bux Mari and other officers concerned were also present in the meeting.
