“When Shiv Sena being an ally has accused the BJP of using black money to influence voters, then it’s a very serious matter. We all have seen the results of the elections,” Nirupam said.

“Because Deshmukh is state co operative minister, the case was given to a junior officer to investigate. This so called investigation is nothing but an eyewash. Infact we are of the opinion that this Rs 91 lakh in Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes was supposed to be used for elections. We have demanded for a serious investigation in this matter by the state election commission,” added Nirupam.
