Truck mows down four of a family near Una

RAJKOT: A family of four, including husband, wife and their two children, were killed when a speeding truck rammed into the motorcycle they were riding near Una town of Gir-Somnath district on Friday evening.
The deceased were identified as Ramji Parmar (24), his wife Bhavna Parmar (23), daughter Viru (4) and son Mahesh (9).
Ramji was a resident of Vadli village in Jafarabad taluka of Amreli.The accident occurred near Samter village on Una-Rajula coastal highway. Ramji, Bhavna and Viru died on the spot while Mahesh succumbed to injuries while on the way to hospital.
Ramji’s brother Hanu Parmar lodged a complaint against the unidentified truck driver with Una police station. However, the driver managed to escape after the accident.
