CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- West Virginia junior Daxter Miles Jr. was ejected from the No. 25 Mountaineers' 66-57 upset win over No. 6 Virginia Cavaliers after elbowing Isaiah Wilkins late in the first half.
Wilkins collapsed to the floor as his teammates checked on him, while the officials huddled around the courtside monitors to review the play. After a few minutes, the officials assessed Miles with a flagrant foul 2, earning him his dismissal, and spoke to both Viginia coach Tony Bennett and WVU coach Bob Huggins before announcing their decision.
Wilkins returned to the game immediately.
Miles was leading the Mountaineers in scoring at the time with seven points on perfect shooting from the floor.
