Vangaveeti family warns RGV, Varma unwilling to compromise

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who met members of the Vangaveeti and Devineni families today, has refused to compromise on his upcoming biopic Vangaveeti.

Ram Gopal Varma met members of the Vangaveeti and Devineni families today, but refused to compromise on his upcoming Telugu movie Vangaveeti that chronicles the life of Vangaveeti Ranga, who began his political career in 1981.

The film also touches upon a feud between two clans from two different castes.

After meeting Vangaveeti Ratnakumari and her son Vangaveeti Radha Krishna, Varma drove to the residence of their rival Devineni Nehru Rajasekhar, to discuss the row.

The Satya director also clarified that the film is not against any caste.

Following the meeting with Vangaveeti family, Varma took to Twitter and shared the details of the meeting.

Hw wrote, "Just met Radha and his mother... Meeting did not go half well... Problems... I will not compromise... Have to see what happens."

In his next tweet, RGV wrote, "I saw many serious warnings. First time I saw very smilingly serious warnings. Dangerous but I will not compromise on my vision of Vangaveeti."

Notably, Ram Gopal Varma had to chop off Kamma Kaapu song from Vangaveeti after the High Court issued notice to the filmmaker and producer Dasari Kiran Kumar.

The plot of Vangaveeti is touted to depict the rise of rowdyism in Vijayawada in the 80s. It is produced by Dasari Kiran Kumar under the banner of Ramadutha Creations. Vamsi Chaganti plays the role of Devineni Murali in the film.
