Lucknow, Dec 3: As part of the BJP’s Parivartan rally in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the public in Moradabad on Saturday. The Prime Minister who has spoken in Ghazipur, Kushinagar and Agra sessions of this rally has been fuelling the campaign for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh 2017 elections.

The Prime Minister who visited Moradabad district in 2009, addressed the public where he discussed the issue of demonetisation and emphasised that it is the BJP Government which can bring in development in Uttar Pradesh. The rally which was attended by around 2 lakh people, saw huge support for BJP which has  pinned hope that Modi’s rhetoric would find a connect with the masses in a similar manner it did during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Here are top 10 things, PM Modi said at the Moradabad rally:

  1. Bharatiya Janata Party is indebted to Moradabad, for the support it gave during the 2014 elections.
  2. If we want development of the nation, we must work for it, but if we want development for just ourselves, the nation will not develop. And in this mission only BJP will help the nation in developing to its full potential. You people have until now elected a government which works for self-interest, but now you will choose a government which will actually work for the betterment and not just self interest.
  3. When electricity will come to a village, will it not help the children to study better? Will it not reduce the hardship of a woman who otherwise have to travel long distances to process her crops? Doesn’t villagers wish to watch television? Even villagers wish to watch Saas-Bahu TV dramas. How can you watch it if there is no electricity? Only BJP can bring in that progress.
  4. Policies and schemes are not just meant to be announced, but must be implemented and fulfilled. This is what BJP government promises and will do. For example Madhya Pradesh was known as a state of sickness, soon they elected the BJP government and now Madhya Pradesh is one of the state contributing majorly to the country’s development process.
  5. Corruption has destroyed the country, looted the poor, but is it a crime to fight corruption? I am astonished by the fact that in my own country, some segment of people have been calling me a criminal for fighting corruption. Corruption will not run away by just me coming in power. It will need to be dealt with a danda (stick)
  6. The wealth of the country belongs to the billions of Indians and I will get that money to all masses. I will fix those who chanted the name of money before.
  7. In my struggle I will face difficulties, but what can be done to me at the most? I am a hermit and I fear no one. I am accountable to the honest mass of this country.
  8. All you people, who stood under the sun, in the rain, without eating, or drinking water, these long queue is an end to all other long queues that the people of India has stood in for 70 years.
  9. Those who are abusing the Government’s move and encouraging those standing in the queues to do the same are the disappointed lot. They did not expect that 125 crore Indians will carry the fight against corruption on their shoulders.
  10. Let us move towards a Digital India. We must end this menace of corruption and black money once and for all.
