The latest addition is nicknamed as the ‘Wolf Wide 5.0', which has been tuned by Ford tuning-house Wolf Racing. The car is designed to promote the "Tune It! Safe!" initiative.
The initiative is to encourage drivers to follow safe and legal tuning practices. This police muscle car will be utilised as a promotional tool for the movement rather than chasing criminals at high speeds.
The power output of the car has increased from the stock 5.0-litre V8's 421bhp to 455bhp and can attain a top speed of 238 km/h. The acceleration figures have improved as it can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds.
The Mustang GT Police has received a full body kit with custom bumpers, a rear diffuser and rear wing. The tuned model also gets a full sports exhaust system.
The car now rides on height-adjustable coil over suspension connected to the 20-inch wheel, shod with Hankook rubber. Hella lights and sirens are used, with windows covered in Secrelux - a shatter-proof foil.
Each year the German police force adds a new car to its fleet. In the past, they have added Abt Audi R8, C7 Corvette, Brabus Mercedes A-Class, AS Schnitzer BMW 4 Series, and an electric MINI.
