Here we have a great news for all Kajol and Dhanush fans’s out there! Kajol to be Dhanush’s leading lady in ‘VIP 2’. Yes, you read that right the Ranjhanaa actor Dhanush is all set to collaborate with Kajol for his next film, which is a sequel of ‘Vela Illa Pattathari’ (VIP). This piece of news surely came as a surprise. We even heard that Dhanush’s sister-in-law Soundarya, will direct the film and Kabali producer Kalaipuli S Thanu be the co-producer for the movie. On November 3, Dhanush and his film maker-sister-in-law and daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, Soundarya, announced that they will be collaborating on the sequel to the 2014 Tamil action-drama ‘Vela Illa Pattathari’ (Unemployed Graduate) aka ‘VIP’. The first movie was helmed by Velaraj. We further even heard that Dhanush will write dialogues and story for the sequel.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, “The film has an The Pursuit of Happyness-theme which will be retained in the second film as well as also “Kolaveri Di” composer, Anirudh Ravichander’s background music.” It seems VIP2 will be filmed in Telugu as well as Tamil and the shooting is expected to start in January. “The entire script was shared with her, followed by a narration. Kajol loved the story and has given her nod to the film verbally. However, there are certain date issues but the makers are working their schedule around her and she is expected to sign later this month. They are hoping Kajol comes on board soon,” adds the source.

Dhanush will reprise his role from the first part and it seems as if Dhanush and Soundarya met Kajol last week. The trio had a long chat about the project. Kajol was lase seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Dilwale’. The original story of VIP was all about Raghuvaran, who bags a job after four years of unemployment. In the upcoming movie the character will be the same but the situations and scenes will be a bit different. We are quiet sure Kajol’s fans have missed her after she did a Tamil flick in 1997 called ‘Minsara Kanavu’, which was dubbed as Sapnay. She played the role of Priya Amalraj, who wants to become a nun but life changes as she falls in love with Prabhudheva.

Kajol will now be seen in Anand Gandhi’s next directorial, where she will be seen playing the role of a single mother. Kajol, has not yet signed the film, but we heard that she liked the script. Are you guys excited to watch Kajol and Dhanush together on-screen?
