COIMBATORE: A day after a couple was arrested with 600kg of ganja, a 32-year-old man who supplied the contraband to major buyers from Andhra Pradesh was arrested by the rural police on Friday.
Police said C Siva, 32, of Usilampatti in Madurai, works as an agent between Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu ganja sellers and he supplied the drugs to peddlers in Tamil Nadu.
While Siva is arrested by the rural police, one more person involved in the case is absconding.
The Sulur police arrested R Thenmozhi, 35 and her husband C Ravi, 40, both hailing from Karmaraj Nagar at Kavundampalayam, on Thursday and seized 600kg of ganja from them. The investigation revealed that they brought the contraband with the help of their accomplices Siva and Jayabal, who also hails from Usilampatti in Madurai. The couple had taken two rental houses at Pattanam near Sulur five months ago and stocked ganja there.

After she started involving in the sales, Chokkan and his wife Suguna were not able to supply the ganja to the peddlers. Hence, the couple informed about Thenmozhi to the police," a police source said.
