Cops recover 627 pirated books

JAIPUR: Police recovered around 500 pirated books from Kotwali area, 95 from Gandhi Nagar area and 32 from Bajaj Nagar area in the city.
These are the books which are used for preparation for competitive exams. The incident of sale of pirated books in market came into light when police received complaints about it. The police said that they had conduct search in shops of different areas.

The police registered FIRs in three different police stations of the city— Bajaj Nagar, Kotwali and Gandhi Nagar. The police are investigating into the matter to find out the persons involved in sale of pirated books.
The pirated books which were being sold are used for preparation for grade II teacher recruitment examination and competitive book for gram sevak recruitment.
According to the police, the pirated books were prepared by scanning of original books. The publisher, whose books pirated version were being sold in the market, claimed that the pirated books were incurring loses to his company.
