Mohammed Ali Qureshi was all smiles yesterday after witnessing his daughter scoop three gold medals after graduating from the University of Fiji in Saweni, Lautoka.

Momal Ali Qureshi, 24, graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery.

She also managed to scoop three gold medals from the Department of Basic Science, the Department of Clinical Science and the Department of Community Medicine.

Her proud dad said: “I feel great and I know she deserved it.

“She is a diligent and hardworking girl.”

Ms Qureshi said: “I feel very happy and I hope I did my parents proud and I would also like to thank God.”

She acknowledged her family, especially her two daughters, five-year-old Areeba Shah and 10-month-old Mehreen Shah.

“I would like to thank my family, especially my two daughters and also the Fiji Muslim League for sponsoring my education.”
