Members of the Pratishtha Foundation, a voluntary organisation under its ‘Thand v/s Humanity’ project, distributed warm clothes among poor people in slum areas of Subhash Nagar and Clement Town here on Friday.

The organisation provided woollen clothes to more than 100 families. It had placed collection boxes in different colleges, societies and business establishments, in which common people of the city donated woollen clothes. The Pratishtha Foundation had distributed woollen clothes last year also.

Vaishali, project head, thanked all volunteers and donors and said it would help in achieving the agenda of the project—“No one dies of cold due to lack woollen clothes”. Muzakkir, a member of the organisation, said the next distribution drive would be held soon and they had started surveying different places.

Office-bearers of the organisation, president Deepak Kothiyal, vice-president Pranjal Sharma, secretary Deep Prakash Pant and treasurer Chandra Shekhar along with Vivek Rana, Yeshwant Bhatt, Vaishali Gurung, Megha Malla, Aman Bhatt, Umang Garg, Deepshi Garg, Muzakkir, Shweta Singh, Sandeep Rawat, Aditi Garg, Divyanshu, Pranjali Negi and Kritika Gupta were present.
