Felicity Jones: 'It was great to finally get out of the corset' for 'Rogue One'

We may not know all the secrets to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but we do know one thing: There aren't any corsets.

In a special live-stream Friday with the cast and director of the upcoming film, which takes place just before the original Star Wars flick, Jones was asked about her career aspirations to play a superhero, and if she thought she'd ever break out of the typical roles for young, tiny, British women (aka Victorian costume dramas).

"It was great to finally get out of the corset," Jones said happily at the panel. "And I’m never going back."

Still a cool outfit.

She went on to explain that her role as Jyn Erso, the protagonist of Rogue One who leads a quest to find the plans to the Death Star, was quite a different and intense kind of acting.

"It was just full on, every single day," she said. "And (co-star Diego Luna) and I would be doing our boxing training outside our trailers on a daily basis like we were in Rocky. ... Literally there were a lot of bruises."

And while Jyn may not be a cape-wearing superhero, there are already a few action figures with Jones' likeness kicking around toy stores.

"I’m actually building quite a collection (of Jyn action figures). My nephew, who’s one-and-a-half, likes to rip her arms off, so that’s good. "

Rogue One hits theaters Dec. 16.

No heels with this outfit.
