It’s Jobs Day. Today’s jobs report — the first since the election and the last before the Fed’s December meeting — shows the US economy added 178,000 jobs in November and unemployment dropped 0.3 points to 4.6%, the lowest in nine years. It's a mixed result, however, with a drop in workforce participation and an unexpected decline in wages. The Labor Department also revised down to 142,000 the jobs added in October.

Twitter has its third product head in a year. The company has acquired app-maker Yes (behind Frenzy and wyd) and installed its CEO, Keith Coleman, as head of product. The role has been vacant since Jeff Seibert stepped down in June. “Coleman will take on what has become one of the toughest jobs in Silicon Valley,” says Recode“Running Twitter’s core product, which is often held up as the main reason the company has struggled to grow its user base over the past two years.”

Touchdown for CBS: CBS has made a deal to add NFL games — “the network’s most valuable property” — to its streaming app. Users of CBS’s $6-per-month All Access app will get the games shown by their local CBS affiliate, including the playoffs and eventually Thursday night games. (There are some caveats, though.) CBS expects the app’s one million subscribers to expand to four million in the next five years.

American Airlines is trimming its Cuba flights. The world’s largest airline will cut nearly 25% of its flights to Cuba in 2017, reducing daily service from thirteen round trips to ten and employing smaller planes on some routes. American says it’s about demand, not potential changes to Cuban relations: “This was done purely to remain competitive in the market,” said spokesman Matt Miller. "We can't speculate on what the next administration may do."

Can drones fix Apple Maps? Apple plans to use drones to improve its Maps product and “catch longtime leader Google,” reports Bloomberg. The Cupertino company was granted permission by the FAA to fly eleven types of drones, but there’s a wrinkle: Apple will have to operate drones over private property, “not over crowded public roads where Apple really needs data to improve the Maps app.”

10 trillion and counting more in debt, as well as the Fed printing and pumping trillions of dollars more into the economy, along with zero percent interest rates. Something has to give. A four year old could create jobs with this kind of stimulus. Still the worst recovery ever. The unemployment rate doesn't reflect the MILLIONS of people who have given up looking, and have decided to retire much earlier than they had planned.

The force is strong in here. The truth is that in the new Fascist States of America the trend will continue, minorities will still have to work twice as hard as the common white folks in order to get 1/2 the recognition. Hopefully Elected POTUS Trump starts bringing back jobs to the good old USofA by manufacturing his clothing line in his home country. The Hypocrisy is Amazing! But his followers can't see beyond the facts. The USofA and world's economy was in crisis mode, it was falling of a cliff when POTUS Obama took office (remember TARP, Stimulus Package, the Sequester Deal, etc), we were involved in 2 wars which were kept off the ledger, Republicans in congress said they were doing everything possible to make POTUS Obama fail, the DowJones was hovering around 7,000, true unemployment rate was atleast twice as much as today (just guessing), we were losing 800,000 jobs a month and we now have 81 straight months of positive job growth (the most in history), but all of you just want to break down and over analyze the current unemployment rate. hahaha POTUS Obama just like Jackie Robinson in his time breaking barriers, against all odds and full resistance from his white opposition still put up All-Star numbers. hahaha
