Sanjay Dutt's kids,
Shahraan and
Iqra, are extremely delighted whenever their father accompanies them to school. Occasionally, the actor, who came out of jail earlier this year, visits his children's school for functions, PTA meetings and to generally pick them up or drop them. This, he says, is his way of watching his little ones grow. While his kids' classmates barely recall him from the movies, the school's teachers are pretty fond of the actor.
'Shahraan and Iqra are in different divisions in the same school.
Their classmates can hardly recall me. A lot of them don't know who I am and what I do. They just know me as their friends' father. But their teachers often come around and talk to me about my movies, especially the '
Munnabhai' series. They want to know when we're bringing out the next one,' smiles Sanjay adding, 'Ever since I came out of jail, I have made it a point to be at my kids' school whenever required. Apart from meetings and functions, I try and drop my children to school and pick them up also. This is my only way of making up for the lost time.'
