Michelle Obama is closing out her final days in the White House in style. Just after gracing her third Vogue cover for the magazine’s December issue, the First Lady has traded in her signature wavy blowouts for a new look: a sleek, super-straight bob.
Obama revealed the blunt, center-parted style this week at the unveiling of the White House’s holiday decorations.
Her stylist Johnny Wright shared the “new cut alert” on Instagram, calling the First Lady a “#styleicon.” She paired her new look with a blue, silver and red floral-print dress with a bow detail plus metallic silver pumps.
FLOTUS is just one of many giving us new hair inspiration for the new year.
Amber Heard went for a whole new look, swapping her long blonde waves for a bright, shaggy lob. The star stepped out with a bright red lip and her hair styled in textured waves, a major change from her signature chest-length strands.

Hilary Duff‘s went for a drastic chop as well, returning to a look we’ve known — and loved — on the star. She shared a photo of her brand new fringe on Instagram, writing “New bangs. Bang bang”.
