Inaugurating the 13th district convention of PABSON, Sunsari, here Friday, NC President Deuba further said the agreement was made with the UML on constitution amendment after the indigenous community and Madhesi political parties insisted on amendment.
"It is compulsory for us to wipe out bitterness among the parties relating to the constitution," he said, adding that constitution would be meaningless if the elections in three-tiers were not held on time.
He lauded PABSON, saying it had tremendous role on Nepal's education sector. PABSON is the Private and Boarding Schools' Organization Nepal.
Former chairpersons of PABSON were honoured at the programme.
On the occasion, leaders including Gyanendra Bahadur Karki demanded that government ensured security to the investment in the sector of private education in Nepal.
Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress from constituency no 1 submitted a memorandum to party President Deuba that Dharan be made the capital city of province no 1.
Receiving the memorandum, President Deuba said he would take their genuine demands seriously. RSS
