Khalsa College’s Heritage Hostel restored in Amritsar

AMRITSAR: More than half-century-old Faridkot Hostel at historic Khalsa College has been restored to its original architectural texture and designs to house 150 students of various post graduate classes.
The hostel was renovated following the old building having fallen to the vagaries of time and the same is restored by keeping the original architecture in mind. Khalsa College Governing Council honorary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, who inaugurated the renovated picturesque building, informed media persons on Friday that the building in the campus needed repair and renovations, but they want that the basic structure and architectural designs are kept intact.“It was a difficult task to maintain the original texture and architectural style, but our engineers are capable enough to complete this gigantic task,’’ said Chhina.
