Shahryar says Pakistan always ready to play India, suggests Misbah to continue as captain for 1 year

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shahryar Khan has on Friday said that the Modi government was the main hurdle in a Pakistan-India series. He said that Pakistan was always ready to play against India, reported Dunya News.

Addressing a hard-hitting press conference after some four months at Gaddafi Stadium, Shahryar Khan said that he had suggested to Misbah ul-Haq to continue as Pakistan captain for another year. He also added that he never interfered in the job of the selectors.

Talking about series with India, Shahryar said that Pakistan was always ready to play with India. “We are ready to play with India at a neutral venue. And if India still doesn’t play, Pakistan should be paid the compensation”, he said.

He said that he saw no hope of a Pakistan-India series any time soon. “India does not want to send its team to Pakistan or United Arab Emirates”, said Shahryar.
