Guernsey museums visitor numbers rise again

The number of visits to Guernsey's States-run museums is at its highest for more than 20 years.
Footfall for the three sites was more than 100,000 this year, a milestone that has not been passed since 1991.
Figures for Castle Cornet, Fort Grey and Candie Museum have grown steadily since they hit a low in 2006.
Museums director Jason Monaghan said: "We are catching more of the tourists that are here, which is something we're working hard at."
"The castle's had its best year since 1992, and the museum is pushing its best year since the mid-90s as well," Mr Monaghan said.
"Even Fort Grey, where its numbers have been sliding in previous years, is bucking the trend now and its figures are improving."
While Castle Cornet and Fort Grey are now closed to the public, Candie Museum remains open during the winter.
