Tabu to play Indrani Mukerjea in film adaptation of Sheena Bora murder case?

Reportedly, director Manish Gupta had approached Tabu to play the role of Indrani Mukerjea in his Rahasya sequel, which is based on the Sheena Bora murder.

The sensational murder case of 24-year-old Sheena Bora took the country by storm. As details began to emerge, it turned out that Sheena's "sister" Indrani Mukerjea was actually her mother. Reportedly, Indrani was unhappy about Sheena's relationship with Rahul Mukerjea, son of Indrani's husband Peter Mukerjea from his earlier marriage.

According to a report on SpotboyE, director Manish Gupta is set to make a film on the dramatic case. The film will be the second installment to his film Rahasya, which was based on the Arushi Talwar murder. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is set to play a cop in the film, although it is not confirmed if he will play former Commissioner of Mumbai Police, Rakesh Maria.

Reportedly, Manish approached Tabu to play Indrani in the film, but she politely declined the role. Vicky Kaushal, who was approached to play Rahul, has also turned down the part.
