Taiyuan World AIDS Day Conference staged at SU

Shanxi province’s capital city of Taiyuan conducted its World AIDS Day Conference 2016 on Nov 30 at Shanxi University, as a promotion event for World AIDS Day the following day and to support AIDS prevention and control throughout the city.

Ding Yaowu, Shanxi University’s deputy Party secretary, welcomes attendees and thanks the departments contributing to the school’s programs against AIDS. He showed his great respect for all Red Ribbon volunteers for their devotion to AIDS prevention and care for infected patients. Ding emphasized the vital and vigorous roles modern college students demonstrate in social progress. Shanxi University, he said, promised to take the lead in the fight against AIDS and encourage more young people to do their active part to pursue a world free of AIDS. Shanxi University is a provincial college-based platform for AIDS publicity. In the past ten years, the school has won a string of honors from organizations including the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA).
