Julian Edelman is a new papa. The Patriots wide receiver reportedly flew to Los Angeles on Wednesday for the birth of his daughter to Swedish model Ella Rose.
“We’re told Ella Rose gave birth to an 8-pound-5-ounce baby girl named Lily on Wednesday in LA,” the Boston Globe reported on Thursday. In July, gossip site TMZ.com said Mr. Edelman was being taken to court by Ms. Rose in a paternity suit.
“Though Edelman has never publicly acknowledged Rose’s pregnancy or the lawsuit, which was filed in July in L.A. County Superior Court, we’re told he did travel to L.A. this week to see the baby,” the Boston Globe said, although it also noted that the athlete’s agent had no comment on the matter.
TMZ has reported that the two were previously involved in a casual relationship prior to Ms. Rose’s pregnancy. Although Ms. Rose and Mr. Edelman are no longer romantically involved, the two are reportedly planning on “co-parenting” their daughter.
Mr. Edelman has reportedly been linked with another model, Adriana Lima, who was in Paris Wednesday for the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
