Sacrilege: Prosecution fails to submit papers

Sangrur: In a case related to the Quran sacrilege at Malerkotla on June 24, the court of Additional Sessions Judge KK Singla here on Thursday fixed December 20 as the next date of hearing as the prosecution failed to submit documents sought by the defence counsels during the last hearing.



Sangrur: In a case related to the Quran sacrilege at Malerkotla on June 24, the court of Additional Sessions Judge KK Singla here on Thursday fixed December 20 as the next date of hearing as the prosecution failed to submit documents sought by the defence counsels during the last hearing. Harpal Singh Cheema, counsel for accused Naresh Yadav who is AAP MLA from Delhi, said he had demanded some documents, including call detail records, CCTV footage and copies of statements of co-accused Vijay Kumar, recorded under Section 164 of CrPC, from the prosecution by filing an application at the last hearing.  OC
