Kanungo, patwari face criminal cases for fraud

Dr Rakesh Gupta, Additional Principal Secretary to the CM, ordered for registration of a criminal case against kanungo Virender Singh and patwari Raghubir Singh for making illegal entries in land records of the Sonepat Municipal Corporation.

Dr Gupta was reviewing the action taken reports on the complaints lodged at the CM Window here today.

A complaint in the matter was lodged at the CM Window by Dalbir Singh Saroha in September 2015. The complaint was investigated by the then Managing Director of the Sonepat Cooperative Sugar Mill and the employees were found guilty in the report.

Gupta also ordered for issuing charge sheet to Ram Singh, the then district development and panchayat officer, Sonepat, after some financial irregularities were noticed.

Anand Mohan Saran, Principal Secretary of Urban Local Bodies Department, reviewed the progress of work on the CM’s announcements made in Panipat, Karnal, Sonepat and Jhajjar districts. The CM had made 20 announcements in Panipat district, 17 in Karnal and 12 each in Sonepat and Jhajjar districts.

During the meeting, which was attended by the district officers here this evening, Bhupeshwar Dayal Gaur, OSD to CM, informed that as many as 96,746 complaints had been received on the CM Window at the district headquarters. “The government plans to start the CM Window service at sub-divisional level also,” he said.
