'Kahaani 2' reveals the truth about Vidya Sinha and Durga Rani Singh

'Kahaani' (2012) had a pregnant Vidya Bagchi (Vidya Balan) trying to find her missing husband. A gripping storyline, multiple twists and turns, excellent performances and an unexpected climax made the film carve a niche for itself.
And now, makers of 'Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh' are claiming that this film will take the franchise a notch higher. Presented by Jayantilal Gada (PEN), it will see the actress playing Vidya Sinha, a distraught mother whose daughter is kidnapped.However, a hit-and-run leaves her comatose.
As investigations proceed, it becomes evident that Vidya may not be what she appears to be. There is a dark past which links her to Durga Rani Singh, a 36-year-old 'wanted' criminal on the run for kidnap and murder. Then, inspector Inderjeet Singh (Arjun Rampal) steps in and he tries to solve the mystery around her past.
What follows is an edge-of-the-seat suspense drama where Vidya, who lies comatose in a hospital, races against time to save her daughter. The trailer of the film and its innovative campaign, which had her posters splashed across cities as a fugitive, has piqued the curiosity of viewers.
